Mrs. Alfa Holmes Bandy
KENTON, July 15 - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Alfa Holmes Bandy, 76, of Niles, Calif. Mrs. Bandy died in Niles, June 24, following an illness of three years.
Mrs. Bandy was born in the Greenleaf community north of Kenton, and graduated from Kenton high school in 1894. She was the registrar for Ohio Northern university for a number of years.
Her husband, Edward Bandy, preceded her in death. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Zelma Etherton, Kenton; two nephews, Ray and Roy Holmes, Kenton; a niece, Mrs. Guy Sprank, Kenton; and other nieces and nephews in California.
Graveside services were held at Grove cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Roger Turrell officiating. Funeral services were held in Burkley, Calif.
