Birth: unknown
Death: May 8, 1863
Aquia
Stafford County
Virginia, USA

Company A, 125 PA Volunteer Infantry

Mustered in 10 August, 1862.

Survived combat on the single most bloody day in the Civil War (and American History)-the Battle of Antietam on September 17, 1862.

Wounded and Missing in Action at Chancellorsville on May 3, 1863, the second most bloody day of the Civil War. Admitted on 6 May to 12th Army Corps Hospital in Aquia Creek with a fractured left leg (later to be amputated).

Died of wounds May 8, 1863 (accourding to SR & HR). Fredericksburg Cemetery Visitors Center's records have "May 8" as the date-of-death; however, there is some belief that it was June 8). Originally buried at Hedgeman's Farm, Stafford (reported in Role of Honor).
