Reuben Rose Arnold, Atlanta Lawyer lived in the city all of his life.
His father, Reuben Arnold a native of Tennessee, who before the Civil War, was a member of the Tennessee Bar, who served as a Colonel of the Tennessee regiment in the Civil War, and who at the close of the War in 1865 moved to Atlanta where he continued to practice law.
The paternal grandfather, Thomas Dickens Arnold was a soldier in the War of 1812, serving under Andrew Jackson. He was a Brigadier-General of the Tennessee Militia, a member of the Tennessee Bar for over fifty years and reprsented the first District of Tennessee in Congress.
Reuben Rose Arnold's mother was Virginia Lowry and her father, William Moore Lowry moved from Tennessee to Atlanta at the close of the Civil War in 1865 and established the Lowry National Bank in Atlanta.
Reuben Rose Arnold's younger brother, Lowry Arnold joined his brother's law firm in 1892.
