Wesley W. Cook, 84, rural Big Rapids, died Monday evening in Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. He was born Nov.24,1891 in Big Rapids and has been a life long resident of the area. He was a self employed carpenter. He also was an employee of Continental Motors. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Big Rapids DAV. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Maude Bender of Big Rapids, Mrs. Clara Budd of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Edgar (Blanche) Obert of Big Rapids, and Mrs. Gladys Wood of Muskegon;several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Daggett Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. William A. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ladner Cemetery in Rogers Heights. Friends may call until the start of service.
