Mrs. Anderson, 103, of Rochester died Friday March 13, 2015 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth.
Florence was born November 17, 1911 in Cudworth, SK, Canada to John and Clare (Brown) Arnoldy. At age five, the family moved to Rollingstone and later to Chatfield where she graduated from high school. Florence taught country schools for several years and later attended Minneapolis Business College. Upon graduating from college she worked at Fillmore County Welfare Office until she married Milo Anderson on November 29,1947 in Chatfield. The couple moved to Rochester in 1954.
She is survived by her son Bob (Karen) Anderson of La Vista, Neb., two grandchildren Tara (John) Handley of Omaha, Neb., and Tyson (Makiko) Hultz of Mesa, Ariz., great grandchildren Robyn, Katelyn and Luke Handley and Cade Hultz.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Alice and brother Harris.
