Mrs Sallie Barton Fuller Suddeth, 92 a native of Upper Spartanburg County's Gowensville Community, died unexpectedly at 8:15 a.m. Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs J. F. Odom, Taylors Route 1.
Survivoring in addition to Mrs Odom: are two other daughters, Mrs Hattie Hammond of Greer Route 8, and Mrs. Pearl Hightower of Taylors Route 1: three sons Crowell D of Taylors Route 1, Wilson of Greer Route 2, and Lawrence of Greer Route (?): one sister J. J Odom of Greenville: 25 grandchilden and 34 great-grandchilden and 14 great-great-grandchilden.
Mrs Suddeth was a native of Gowensville and had lived in the Highland's Community on Taylors Route 1 for 75 years. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Harriett Ravan Fuller. Her husband James D, died in 1941.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by REV. John Pace and Fay Lanford, burial will be in the church cemetery.
Three grandsons are Pallbearers: Billy, Marion, Vincent, Broner, E. A. Suddeth and C. D. Suddeth Jr.
The body is at the home of daughter, Mrs. Odom at Taylors Route 1, and will be taken to the church at 1 p.m.
Wood Mortuary of Greer is in charge.
