J. E. Anderson Rites Held at Edna Church

Last rites were held from the Edna Baptist Church, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 11, at 2:30 for James Edmond Anderson.

Mr. Anderson was one of the community's outstanding citizens. He was born Dec. 13, 1885, eldest son of Emma and James Henry Anderson of Lamar County. In 1908 he was married to Miss Retta Ward, who passed away several years ago. He later married Mrs. Elizabeth Rouse Pierce.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. J. E. Anderson; two children, Mrs. Van Nielson and John B. Anderson of Columbia; nine brothers, W. A. Anderson and J. H. Anderson of Purvis, Otho Anderson of Wiggins, Albert Lonnie and Adam Anderson of Baxterville, J. O. and Willis Anderson of Waynesboro, and H. C Anderson of Hub; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Brooks of Boaz, Ala., Mrs. Tiny Tisdale of Ellisville, and Mrs. A. C. Mills of Baxterville; also two grandchildren and four stepsons.

Interment was in the Ward Cemetery. The Rev. Dear conducted. The funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
