Charles E. Abrams, 74, of Terre Haute died at 6:12 a.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005, in Union Hospital. He retired as a chemical operator at CF Industries.
He was born May 26, 1931, in Vigo County to Everett Abrams and Nellie Ruth Butz Abrams. {due to those who are still living, I refrain from naming survivors} Survivors include his wife, whom he married July 25, 1986; two sons, Charles E. Abrams of Mississippi (died July 25, 2012); one daughter; one step-daughter; one sister, Doris Marie Whitesell of DeLand, Fla. (died July 9, 2007); six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Everett Abrams Jr.; and one sister Phyllis Lampton Hicks.
He was a member of Pool League in both Terre Haute and Cincinnati, Rosedale Lodge 259 Free & Accepted Masons, Clinton order of Eastern Star, Terre Haute York Rite, Clinton Commandry 48, Low 12 Club, DeMolay, Vermillion Chapter 125 Royal Arch Masons and Terre Haute Moose Lodge. he especially enjoyed gardening and raising blackberries.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday in DeBaun Idaho Street Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Chandler officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park.
