MOORESVILLE - Ruth Lyerly Rummage, 94, formerly of 147 W. Stewart Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born April 3, 1912, in the Gold Hill Township of Rowan County, Mrs. Rummage was a daughter of the late Sidney A. and Emma M. Lentz Lyerly. She retired from Cascade Mill.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rummage was predeceased by her husband, Paul Rufus Rummage; sisters Fannie L. Alderman and Daisy L. Jones; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include sons Billie Ray Rummage of Wilmington and Paul Edward Rummage of Anderson, S.C.; grandchildren Thomas P. Rummage, Mary Anne Stahr, Richard Rummage, Elizabeth R. Talley and Alice Syzanne R. Meier; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother Harry Lyerly of Salisbury; and sister Pauline Lefler of Rockwell;
Service: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Mooresville. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. today at Neill Funeral Home in Mooresville.
