December 6, 1928: WE Bredahl's car caught fire as he was driving down the Morrow hill near Fred Heacox's last Tuesday and burned. Mr. Bredahl had scarcely time to get out and remove the blankets before it was all ablaze.
March 7, 1929: A horse belonging to Welsey E. Bredahl residing in Beldenville was killed in a particular manner Saturday evening. Mr. Bredahl had purchased a team near River Falls that afternoon and was hauling them home in his truck. The horses evidently became frightened and started to rear up when the bus came from behind. One horse fell out the rear end of the truck and when the rack tipped off the other horse, a four year colt, received injuries from which it died in a short time.

July 30, 1931 RFJ: George Busby, Welsey Bredhal, and Leslie Gray figured in a smashup on Highway 65 Sunday evening that might have turned out to be far more serious than it was. While driving on this highway the car a Plymouth sedan, got out of control of the driver, Greg Busby, and left the road near the Kinnic School house ab out 4 miles from town. The car hit a telephone pole which it sheared off close to the ground. the sedan was almost completely wrecked Ater taking a look a the car with its splintered top, broken side posts jamed wheels and fenders and the broken windows it is realized that only by a miracle did the occupants escape serious injury or death. As it was, however , all three escaped with minor bruises and cuts.

Welsey Bredahl of Beldenville lost his new Diamond T Truck in St. Paul in Wednesday night of last week and recovered the machine the following Saturday. Wesley had parked his truck on a downtown street and gone to supper. He returned to find the car gone.He notified the police at once. On Friday the salesman who sold him the truck, was returing from deer hunting trip and noticed the truck, which he was certain belonged to Bredahl, in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Upon returning to St. Paul he learned that the machine had been stolen and notified the police where he had seen it. They recovered the truck but did not locate the thieves.

Caraway and four others, while en route to River Falls Tuesday evening, narrowly escaped serious injury when their car was struck by the Greyhound bus near the Welsie Bredahl place. Both the bus and the car were approaching the narrow bridge at this point on the road. Rev Caraway attempted to stop as he approached. Due to the slippery road conditions the car spun about as the brakes were applied and came to a stop standing crossways of the road. The bus struck the car broadside but had slowed down enough to avoid tipping the car over, smashing the fender and bumper, no one was injured.

April 1959: Welsie Bredahl, 63-year-old River Falls Township resident died at his home near Beldenville Saturday morning. Mr. Bredahl had been in poor health for several years, but was able to assist with work on the farm up to the time of his death.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the English Lutheran Church with the Rev. Russell T. Hendrickson officiating. Burial was made in the Beldenville Cemetery, Winberg's directing.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bredahl, he was born July 22, 1895, and spent his entire life on the same farm. Besides farming he operated an extensive truck garden. For several years he was engaged in hauling livestock, selling out to Coyd Marsh in 1940.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. L. F. (Arlyn) Gunderson of Los Angeles, California, two grandchildren, Jane and Lynda Gundersen, and two foster sons, Charles, at McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, Florida, and Arnold Geister, at home, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The bus struck the car broadside but had slowed down enough to avoid tipping the car over, smashing the fender and bumper, no one was injured.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bredahl, he was born July 22, 1895, and spent his entire life on the same farm. Besides farming he operated an extensive truck garden. For several years he was engaged in hauling livestock, selling out to Coyd Marsh in 1940.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. L. F. (Arlyn) Gunderson of Los Angeles, California, two grandchildren, Jane and Lynda Gundersen, and two foster sons, Charles, at McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, Florida, and Arnold Geister, at home, as well as many nieces and nephews.
