Helen Kaufmann Appel, beloved wife of the late Abe Appel, and devoted mother of Mrs. Eugene S. Weil of St. Louis, and Mrs. Louis R. Jacobs, and sister of Benjamin I. Kaufmann. Services were held Monday, February 25, 1951.

Mrs. Helen Kaufman Appel, widow of Abe Appel, who was President of Mendel-Drucker Inc., Norwood, luggage manufacturers, will be buried in the United Jewish Cemetery, Evanston, following services at 3 p.m. today at the Weil funeral home.

Mrs. Appel, who was 68 years old, died Saturday at Jewish Hospital after a brief illness. Her residence was at 3719 Reading Rd. A native of Hillsboro, Ohio, she had lived in Cincinnati all of her married live. Her husband died several years ago. She was a member of the Isaac M. Wise Temple, the Sisterhood of the Temple and the Council of Jewish Women.

Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Eugene S. Weil, St. Louis, and Mrs. Louis R. Jacobs of the home address; a brother, Benjamin I. Kaufmann, 4094 Reading Rd., and four grandchildren.
