OBITUARY:

Gregory W. Barker, age 21, of Cascade, MI. died on Saturday October 12, 2013. He is survived by his parents, William and Sherri Barker; sister, Janelle Barker; grandparents, Robert and Jean Barker, Marvin and Janice Riedel and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Greg enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors, especially snowboarding, skateboarding, fishing and playing his guitar. Greg was a loyal friend, brother, and son who always had a joke to share or a way to make those around him smile. He was a graduate of Forest Hills Central High School, Class of 2010, attended Northern Michigan University for a year and then Central Michigan University for two years. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11 AM at St. Robert of Newminster Parish, 6477 Ada Drive, Ada, MI with Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Internment Cascade Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home and one hour before at the church on Friday from 10-11 AM. The family is being served by:

A 21-year-old Cascade Township man died this weekend from internal bleeding caused by blunt force trauma to the abdomen after being involved in a brawl outside The B.O.B. in Grand Rapids, police said.

Gregory William Barker, 21, died Saturday morning, Oct. 12, 2013, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital several hours after a large fight in the parking lot north of The B.O.B. entertainment complex at 20 Monroe Ave. NW.
