Thomas Busby passed away at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. W.D.
Auld, three miles east of Frankfort,
Kansas at 4:30 p.m. on Monday,
February 9, 1903 at the age of 76
years, 1 month and 14 days.
Mr. Busby was born near Belfast,
Ireland on December 25, 1826.
He was married to Miss Jean Harper
on March 2, 1848.
To this union eleven children were
born, eight of whom survive him,
Mrs. Elmer, McFadden, Philadelphia
Pa. Mrs. Lizzie Crawford, Frankfort,
Kansas, Mrs. Emily Harper, of
Philadelphia, Pa., Samuel Busby,
Little Rock, Arkansas, Isaac Busby,
Wardner, Idaho, Mrs. Blanche Auld
Frankfort, Kansas, Albert Busby,
Mr. Busby moved to Canada, then to
America in 1854. In 1879 he came
west, settling in the Frankfort area,
which he has since made his home.
He became a member of the Presby-
terian church. Born of Sotch-Irish
parents, and educated according to
the Sotch ideas. Upon this found-
ation he built his character, and it
was well built. He was a fine man
and good father, true to all that
Funeral services were held at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. C.A.
Crawford on Wednesday afternoon.
