MRS. BODIN, VILAS DEAD
She came to Kansas from Sweden more than 50 years ago

Mrs. Frederick Bodin, 84 years old, died at her home in Vilas Saturday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at the Bethel Lutheran Church of Vilas of which she was a member Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with Rev. Paul Engstrand, assisted by Rev. O. J. Hoag of the Nazarene church of Chanute, officiating. Burial was in the Vilas cemetery at the side of her husband who died February 16, 1932.

Mrs. Bodin was born January 25, 1849, in Sweden, and was married in that country to Frederick Bodin March 26, 1875. She came with her husband and one son to America on August 25, 1880, and located in Kansas on a farm near Vilas. Twenty years ago the family moved into Vilas.

Survivors of Mrs. Bodin are two daughters, Mrs. R. G. Hanson, Topeka, and Mrs. L. R. Riley, Humboldt; two sons, William Bodin, Lawrence, and John Bodin, Vilas; 18 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A double quartet composed of Mrs. Rudolph Nelson, Mrs. Clarence Nelson, Mrs. D. G. Anderson, Mrs. Oscar Larson, R. Nelson, C. Nelson, Oscar Gabrielson and Herman Anderson, sang "Tank Nar En Gang DereDimma Ar Forsvunnere", "Jesus lover of my soul," "We shall sleep but not forever," and "There will be no parting". Mrs. Henry Nelson was accompanist. The pallbearers were Fred Nelson, Swan Nelson, P. N. Nelson, Charles Hulteen, E. V. Anderson and Charles Adelgren.
