James was the brother of:

(1.) John Edward Bearden (abt. 1921)
(2.) Claude C. Bearden (1922)(June 14, 1941)
Buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Etowah Co., AL.

Funeral Services for James Otis Bearden were held at Morgan Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Larry Perkins and Paul Cole officiating. Burial was in Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

He was survived by: two daughters; Juanita Bearden and Joann Griffith, both of Gadsden; three sons; Gary and Johnny Bearden of Gadsden, AL, James E. Bearden of Montgomery and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Sammy Clayton, Onall Hunt, Tommy Barber, Mike Hooks, Paul Perkins, Charles Clayton and Ted Stowers.

Mr. Bearden was a native and resident of Etowah County and a member of the Gospel Truth Church in Etowah Co., AL.

James Otis Bearden was a Veteran of World War II.

His Obit was publishe in "The Gadsden Times" newspaper; Etowah Co., AL; Mon. Sept. 26, 1988.
