Volney J. Hain, prominent Bremerton restaurant man, died Monday at a local hospital. During the past nine years he had operated the Home Lunch and the Commodore Hotel grill. Recently he had purchased the Washington Grocery at 538 Washington Avenue.
Hain was born in Lafayette, Indiana, January 13, 1875. He is survived by his wife, Cora, and four sisters. They are Mrs. Avenell (sic) De Wolf and Mrs. Dacia Irby, both of (sic) Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Maud Munroe (sic) of Mitchell, South Dakota; and Mrs. Kate Brown of Bonnery's (sic) Ferry, Ida.
Funeral services will be held at the Lewis Funeral Chapel, tomorrow evening at 7:30 o'clock. The Rev. Fred Opperman will officiate and cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
