Mrs. Neal Junker , a resident of the Bower community, died at a hospital in Fairbury on Friday, July 6th, following an operation. Martha Lena Louise Nickel was born in Germany, March 22, 1890. With her father, she came to America in 1904. She was united in marriage in South Dakota to Neal Junker, Feb. 11, 1907. She leaves to mourn her husband, her father Carl and adopted son, five years old. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday, July 8, and internment was made in the Fairbury cemetery. Rev. Shellenberger conducted the services. Martha is also survived by many Nickel and Junker relatives in the Jefferson and Saline county areas.
