John Wade Demerly, 25, passed too soon on August 13, 2014, from injuries suffered in an auto accident. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Robert E. Demerly, Jr. and Tina M. Demerly. John always had a positive outlook on life. He was a hard worker, dependable and was always helpful to others in need. But most of all, he was excited about becoming a father in February. Besides his parents, left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Candy Castillo; brother, Robert E. Demerly, III; paternal grandmother, Eva Burton; maternal grandmother, Joyce Price; aunts, Robin Hurlbut, Dawn Brown, Michelle Kupka and Lisa Manning and numerous other family and friends. A service to celebrate his life was held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 10 at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake, with Pastor Jimmy Bennett officiated. Burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk.
