He married Sidney Taylor Millholland, daughter of Levi Millholland and Sarah Jane Lindley , 13 July 1858 in Hopkins Co., Texas.
1862-1865 Confederate Soldier - Mustered in 8 Feb 1862, Denton, Texas into the 17th Consolidated Regiment, Texas Dismounted Cavalry. Served in Co. G, 18th Texas Cavalry, Darnell's Regiment which became Co. H, Granbury's Consolidated Texas Brigade in 1865.
