Archie Alberta Anderson was born in 1904 in the Red Moon community of Roger Mills County, Oklahoma Territory near the present-day town of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Archie's father had passed away in September 1903, while her mother was pregnant with her.

Archie had bright red hair which was highly prized by the Cheyenne Indians who frequently passed through town and they frequently offered to trade for a length of her hair. She was named the first Queen of the Old Settler's Reunion in Cheyenne and was crowned by the then-sitting Governor.

After marrying Virgil E Brewer on 17 Dec 1927, Archie settled in Perkins, Oklahoma and opened a beauty shop which she operated for several years. Archie was also named to the Oklahoma Cosmetology Board by the Oklahoma Governor.

Archie had no children but was survived by her sister, Ernestine Anderson Leverett as well as nieces and nephews.
