FRENCH LICK — Della Brown Bledsoe Cary, 81, of French Lick, formerly of Louisville, Ky., died Thursday, February 26, 2004 of Sepsis at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
She was a retired social service worker for the Kentucky Children's Home.
Survivors include one son, David Bledsoe of French Lick; two daughters, Sharon Bledsoe of French Lick and Brenda Davis of Garland, Texas; three brothers, Gene Brown and Ernest Brown, both of Jasper, and Clarence Brown of Florida; one sister, Eileen Yapilla of Muncie; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. today (2/29/04) at T.L. Pinnick Mortuary in French Lick with the Rev. Glenn Bohlen officiating.
Burial will be in Ames Chapel Cemetery in Paoli. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until services at the funeral home.

*Della Brown was the daughter of John Alford and Elizabeth Jane (Belcher) Brown and born in Orange County, Indiana.
Della wed Virgil L. Bledsoe August 30, 1920 in Marion County, Indiana. Their son, Melvin L. Bledsoe, died at age 9 on February 27, 1955.
They formerly lived in Paoli, Indiana and in Kentucky where Virgil trained Tennessee Walker horses, among other thoroughbreds.
