Lona G. [Jack] Butlar was born in Quanah, Texas on July 26, 1920 to James Alfred [Fred] Jones and Willie Mae [Bill] Jones. She was their only child. She married Robert L. [Bob] Butlar and they had one son, Freddie L. Butlar. The family remained in Quanah where Bob worked for the U.S. Postal Service and Jack worked at the Sears Catalogue store and then as a bookkeeper and flower designer at Quanah Floral, which was owned by Jack and Margie Orr. She remained employed with them until her retirement. Due to health problems, Jack moved to The Covenant Place Assisted Living Center in Waxahachie, Texas, and then to Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Italy, Texas, where she remained until September 3, 2011 when she graduated from this life at 2:30PM after 91 years on this ‘ol earth. She now enjoys a permanent residence and will not be moving again.
She was preceded in death my both parents and her husband. She is survived by her son, Freddie L. Butlar and his wife Marti of Midlothian, Texas, two grandchildren, Christa Lee Aduddell and her husband Thomas of Keller, Texas, and Matthew Robert Butlar and his wife Julia of Midlothian, Texas. Three great grandchildren, Amberlee Jo Aduddell and Brady Thomas Aduddell of Keller, Isabel Irene Butlar of Midlothian.
She was a member of the Quanah Church of Christ and then after moving she was a member of the Midlothian Church of Christ.
