Obituary clipping (provenance unknown): "Miss Sarah Ann Babcock died at the county asylum last Friday evening at 6 o'clock following an illness of cancer of the liver. She was seventy years of age and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Babcock, deceased, formerly of Posey township. The body was taken to Elizabeth Saturday and remained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Deatrick until Sunday afternoon when burial was had at the Holyoke burying ground, three miles south of Elizabeth. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Holden."
