Graveside Services for Mr. Donald C. Atkinson, 78, of Anniston, will be at Anniston Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Randy Hagan officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday night, March 18, 2014, from 6-8 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Mr. Atkinson passed away Sunday at RMC: Anniston.
Survivors include his daughter; son; 3 sisters; brother; 4 grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Atkinson is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Atkinson and Father, George H. Atkinson.
Mr. Atkinson was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church and a graduate of Talladega High School and Jacksonville State University. From 1953-1957 he served his county as a member of the United States Marine Corp. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be missed.
