Herbert Hilliard Died Wednesday
Herbert Warren Hilliard of Lengby died at the Bagley hospital Wednesday of this week from pneumonia after a short illness. He had been taken to the hospital Monday.
He was a son of William and Mary Hilliard and was born in Holland township, LaCrosse county, Wisconsin, Oct. 30, 1869. In 1881 he moved to Hawley, Minnesota, with his parents where he grew to manhood.
Mr. Hilliard was a mechanic and steam engineer by trafe and for 20 years had operated the Great Northern railway coal chute at Lengby. He was married in 1899.
His father, William Hilliard, a Civil war veteran, mother, a daughter, three grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. A. A. Albright (Cora), and brother Wilfred, survive. A son, Harry, and sister, Mrs. R.C. Thompson (Minnie) preceded him to the grave.
Funeral services are to be held at two o'clock this afternoon from Fridhem church, Lengby.
