The daughter of Anton and Catherine Wegient Riemenapp was born November 27, 1898, at Kieler. On September 7, 1920, she was married to Edward B. Ames at Dickeyville. She was a member of Saint Mary's Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. Her husband preceded her in death on July 1, 1955.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Allen (Margaret) Beadle, Galena, Ill., Mrs. Harold (Marion) Fleege, Cuba City, Mrs. Vincent (Mabel) Schmitt, Galena, Ill, Mrs. Virgil (Barbara) Splinter, Platteville and Mrs. James (Rosemary) Schulting, Black Earth; one son, Francis L. "Fritz" Ames, East Dubuque, Ill.; 34 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Melssen and Mrs. Elizabeth Dietzel, both Dickeyville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church in East Dubuque, Ill. Burial was held in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
