Elizabeth (Bacon) King was the daughter of Ebenezer Bacon and Anna Long. Elizabeth was married to Amos King on the 19th of September, 1811, at in the Congregational Church in New Salem, Franklin, MA, married by Rev. Alpheus Harding.
Amos King was b. 1791 in MA and lived in New Salem, the son of Samuel King Jr. and Philena Haskins.
Elizabeth and Amos raised their children in Nunda, Livingston, NY. They left NY for Ionia Co., MI, with most of their children, settling in Easton Township, purchasing land there in 1851.
Elizabeth (Bacon) King's father, Ebenezer Bacon, was born January 16, 1752, in Massachusetts, the son of John and Mary Bacon, of Wrentham, MA. Her mother, Anna (Long) Bacon was born Nov. 30, 1760, in Upton, MA, the daughter of James Longe and Elizabeth Cooke of Douglas, MA.
Ebenezer Bacon and Anna Long were married Feb. 8, 1757 in Douglas, Worcester, MA. They lived for some years in Charlton, MA, then New Salem, MA, and late in life they moved to Petersham, Worcester, MA, where they died.
Elizabeth (Bacon) King's brother, Jonathan Bacon (b. abt 1791), was also married at the Congregational Church in New Salem, in 1812, by Rev. Harding. Jonathan Bacon died in 1818 at Charlton, MA, leaving a widow and two small children.
