All of her children were born on a Wednesday, except Ollie Roberta, who was born on a Thursday.
MRS. O.F. BOYD SUCCUMBS TO LONG ILLNESS TUESDAY
Funeral and Interment was at Pleasant Hill last Wednesday P.M.Friends and acquaintances here were indeed saddened to learn of the death on last Tuesday morning of Mrs. Nannie Gleason Boyd,wife of Mr. Oliver F. Boyd, planter, at the family home about five miles east of Plain Dealing. Mrs. Boyd died after an illness which had extended over a period of about two years.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wash Gleason. She was born in 1883, and had resided in Plain Dealing practically all of her life. She had many friends and acquaintances in this vicinity.
She was a devout member of the Christian Church. Funeral services and interment were at Pleasant Hill church and cemetery last Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. M.M. Miller, assisted by Rev. J.D. Tipton of Bossier City, officiating.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband and six children, three sons, Wilmer, Willie and Marshall, three daughters, Roberta, Eloise and Mary. Her mother also survives.
