A graveside memorial service for Faye Mable Thompson Enberg, 92, of Issaquah was held at the Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah on Saturday, March 12. The service was officiated by the Rev. Richard Birdsall. Arrangements were under the direction of Flintoff's Issaquah Funeral home, Enberg died at Overlake Hospital Medical Center on Wednesday, March 9, 1988, from a sudden unexpected illness.
Enberg was born on March 8, 1896 in Sumner, Washington, the daughter of Ralph and Mable Lenover. She was raised in Sumner and married Robert Thompson in Issaquah in 1911. He preceded her in death and in 1948 she married Alex Enberg, also in Issaquah. She worked for the Boeing Company during WWII. According to the family, her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved gardening and flowers. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Enberg is survived by her husband Alex; five children, Roberta Bush, Robert Thompson, Jean Beeton and Maxine Doherty, all of Issaquah; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances in her name to the City of Issaquah Aid Car Fund, 190 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah 98027.
