John was born and raised in Kansas City.He
lived there all of his life.
He enlisted in the Marines 8 May 1965 at the
Kansas City Recruiting Office.
Upon arriving in Vietnam he was assigned to
the 2nd Platoon with 3rd Force Recon,3rd
Force Recon Battalion,3rd Marine Division.
John drowned when the recon team attempted
to cross a flooded river while on a recon
patrol,during Operation Prairie IV,6 southwest
of Ca Lu Airfield.
John was single and served his country for 2
years and 22 days.KIA#13,080.
Tour of duty date unknown.
John was 20 years,4 months and 8 days old.
Survived by his parents;James & Mary Cabrini;
and his sister;(name unknown)of 5505 Peck
Ave,Kansas City,MO.
His brother and sister-in-law;James & Sara D
Cabrini Jr of 7 West 91st St,Kansas City,MO.
