OBITUARY-
AUSTIN -- The funeral for Palma T. Abelson will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin with the Rev. William Glaser officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Abelson, 73, of 1510 Eighth St. S.E., a former nurse's aide at St. Olaf Hospital, died Saturday (Feb. 14, 1998) at Austin Medical Center.

Palma T. Seljeseth was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Bucyrus, S.D., and graduated from high school in Blooming Prairie, Minn., in 1941. She then moved to California with a sister and was a welder in the shipyards during World War II. On Jan. 25, 1947, she met Wallace Abelson in San Diego. They moved to Austin and she was a nurse's aide at St. Olaf Hospital for almost 10 years. Her husband died in 1981. Her hobbies included gardening and reading.
Survivors include two sons, William and La Veerne Abelson, both of Austin; three grandsons; one brother, Melvin Seljeseth of Owatonna; and three sisters, Lorie Swenson of New Richmond, Minn., Inga (Mrs. Jerry) Carey of Mankato, Minn., and Edna Olstad of Sioux Falls, S.D. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin one hour before the service Tuesday. There will be no reviewal.
