Beulah Benjamin passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Cypress Glen-East Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on October 14, 1931 in Bordelonville, Louisiana, she was a resident of Port Arthur for many years. She was a member of Shilo Baptist Church for fifty years and served with the Women's Mission, taught Children's Sunday School, and sang in the Pastor's Chorus and the Sanctuary Choir. She was also a member of the Elegant Civic and Social Club.

Beulah was preced in death by her husband, Edward Benjamin, Jr.; daughter, Debbie Curby; and grandson, Chris White.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Benjamin-Dirden, Barbara Semien, Cheryl White, and Carolyn Blackmon (Melvin); her son, Samuel Curby (Beverly); grandsons, Todd Semien, Brian White, Samuel Curby, Jr., Melvin Blackmon, Jr., and Malen Blackmon; brothers, Loston Harris (Armentia), Wesley Harris, Jr. (Lorraine), and Albert Harris; sister, Lee Etta Daniels, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 700 Noth Street #M, Beaumont, TX 77701.

He who dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
