WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Theodore R. "Ted" Carbaugh, 78, of Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, Boonsboro, and formerly of 52 N. Potomac St., died Thursday, Sept. 5, 1996, in the nursing home.

Born Dec. 5, 1917, in Fayetteville, Pa., he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Helen J. Mitchell Carbaugh.

His wife, Genevieve E. Martin Carbaugh, died in 1993.

He was a 1936 graduate of Waynesboro High School. He retired in 1981 after more than 42 years at Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro, where he was a machinist.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, and Crider. Men's Sunday School Class. He also was a member of the Acacia Lodge 586 F&AM,
Waynesboro; Harrisburg Consistory 32 degree Mason; Zembo Temple, Harrisburg; Knights of Pythias, George Washington Lodge 487, Waynesboro; and the. National Watch and Clock Collectors Association, Columbia, Pa.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald E. Carbaugh and Dennis W. Carbaugh; both of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Rennes E. Carbaugh, Francis W. Carbaugh, Delbert Carbaugh, Charles M. Carbaugh and James M. Carbaugh.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Jay A. Saxe will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. by Acacia Lodge. .
