Mr. Avera was a retired lumber inspector and served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Mary Avera and one sister, Charlotte Elaine Avera. Left to cherish his memory are a host of cousins. A wake will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 6-9 pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at 10 am in the Freeman Chapel. Interment will be at Avera Cemetery in State Line, MS.
