Lola was born June 18, 1929, in Goldthwaite, Texas, to W.B. "Dude" and Althea Varnell Wilkey. She married Perry Dean Burk Dec. 22, 1948, in Brownwood, Texas. She lived in San Angelo, Texas, for many years. She moved from San Angelo, Texas, to Goldthwaite, Texas, in 1986.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Goldthwaite, Texas, and also a member of the VFW auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Althea Wilkey; a son, Jerry Dean Burk; and three sisters, Jewel Dyas Page, Lula Watson and Martha Covington.
