James Franklin "Frank" Cook, Sr. of Goldthwaite, Texas, died suddenly Saturday, January 24, 1998 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Brownwood, Texas. He was 70 years of age. Mr. Cook was born March 25, 1927 in Lampasas County, Texas, the son of Alvie and Lora (Hughes) Cook. He married Ruby Arrowood on September 22, 1945 in Brownwood, Texas. He had lived in Mills County all of his life. He was a Baptist. He was a Mason, He was in the water well service business. He served in the Army Air Corp.
Survivors are his wife, Ruby Cook of Goldthwaite; two sons, Andy Cook of Goldthwaite and James Cook of Brownwood; four grandchildren, Kyle and DeAnne Cook of Goldthwaite, Leslie Cook of Dallas and Jamie Cook of Brownwood; one great granddaughter, Heide Cook; two brothers, J.D. Cook of Mertzon and Kenneth Cook of Bloomfield,New Mexico; and four sisters, Linda Harvell and Blanche Biggs both of San Saba, Wilda Harvell of Brownwood and Minnie Lois Wilkins of Belton. Masonic graveside rites were conducted Monday, January 26, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite Mills County, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Burks, Kenneth Hopson, Leroy Miller, Horace Brooks, Tony Patton, Eloy Hernandez and Delbert Connaway.
