Rose Antonioli, 99, of Bangor was called to the home of the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, at the home of her son in Bangor. Born: October 6, 1912, in Bangor, a daughter of the late Joseph and Christina DelGardo Mirto. Personal: Her beloved husband, Iginio Gene Antonioli, passed away in 1991. Rose was last employed by the former Gladys Sportswear of Pen Argyl. Prior to that, she had worked for the former Bangor Clothing Co. and the Sterling Hosiery and Crown Hosiery, all of Bangor. Rose wholeheartedly dedicated her life to her family, God and church. Her most outstanding attribute was her humility. She was the sweetest, most gentile and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend anyone could ever have or want. It was a blessing and privilege to have her for our mother. Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto. Survivors: She is survived by three sons, Robert and Joseph, both of Bangor, and John of Roseto; four daughters, Jeane Lane, Rosemary Dotta and Judy Knibbs, all of Bangor, and Linda Hontz of Pen Argyl; two sisters, Elma Mirto of Nazareth and Virginia Schiavone of Florida. Grammy Rose will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren, Monica Lane, Curt Lane, Mark Lane, Karen Rutt, Sherry Godredo, Joseph, Antonioli, Joseph, Steven and Mark Dotta, Kimberly Antonioli, Bruce Antonioli, Heather Antonioli, Laura Bubba, Jerrold Hontz, Carrie and Kathryn Antonioli, and Thomas Knibbs IV; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A son, Mark Thomas; sisters, Tecla Asquino and Lydia McLazzio; brother, James; and a great-granddaughter, Ella, died earlier. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 3rd at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 3rd & Garibaldi Avenues, Roseto. Call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market St., Bangor. Burial will be in the New Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Roseto. Memorials: Memorial donations may be offered in Rose's name to either the Church, PO Box 422, Roseto, PA 18013, or to the Down Syndrome Foundation of Pittsburgh, 5513 William Fylnn Highway, Gibsonia, PA 15044, www.fiorefuneralhome.com.
