CAMP POINT, Ill. -- Mrs. Edith Aden, 74, of Lincoln Hill Nursing Center in Quincy, formerly of Camp Point, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 12, 1985) in the nursing center. She had made her home the past year with her daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Baker of Quincy.
Mrs. Aden was born July 17, 1910, in Quincy, a daughter of Henry and Emma Hildebrand. She married John Aden, Nov. 24, 1934, in Mount Sterling. He died Jan. 13, 1980. Mrs. Aden was retired as an infirmary attendant at Illinois Veterans Home. She was a member of the Clayton Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens and RSVP.
Surviving are two sons, Albert of Camp Point and Ralph of El Paso, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Marjorie) Baker and Miss Shirley Aden, both of Quincy; a brother, Carl Sommer of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Howard of Yucaipa, Calif., Mrs. Minnie Richards of Mayville, N.D., and Mrs. Mildred Genenbacher of Quincy; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Clayton Good Shepherd Lutheran Church by the Rev. William Adam. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Golden.
Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Clayton. The Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home of Camp Point is in charge of arrangements.
