LAWRENCE (LARRY) DOUGLAS GLOVKA Lawrence (Larry) Douglas Glovka passed away on Wednesday, September 28th, 2005 at the age of 62. Lawrence was born on January 18, 1943 to Paul and Beryl Glovka in Clinton, Iowa. Larry was a resident of Vancouver for 18 years. He will greatly be missed, and his memory will always remain with his family. Of the many successful areas of his life, his greatest lay at home. Larry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Larry spent his days after retirement doing charitable work, service to others, as well as devoting himself to his family and Christ. Larry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Larry is preceded in death by his son, James Glovka, and brother, Richard. Survivors include his wife and companion, Christie Glovka, and their daughters, Carrie A. Glovka, Amy E. and Steven Popp, and Melissa M. and Mickey Garrett, all of Vancouver. He also leaves his precious grandchildren, Chloe Anne, Kathryn Elizabeth, and Nicholas James. He will be greatly missed by his devoted mother, Beryl Bennett, his father Paul, and his siblings Carol Digby, Cheryl Glovka and James Glovka. A private graveside interment will be held at LaCenter Cemetery by Evergreen Staples Funeral Home on Monday, October 3rd, 2005, followed by a public memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the LDS West Stake Center located at 9728 NE 50th Avenue in Vancouver, WA.
