MARION: Goldie Marie (Kent) Sparks, born August 2, 1925 to the late Robert Kent and Mable K. Ute, passed away Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Kindred Nursing Home in Marion, OH.
Preceded in death by first husband, Robert Heagren and second husband, Bert Sparks; daughters, Barbara Ann Rhiel-Chaffin and Betty Jean VanHouten.
Survived by son, William Egerland of Midland, Arkansas; daughter, Rita Coffman of Cocoa, FL; step-son, Charles Sparks of Columbus, OH; step-daughter, Vickie Sparks of Marengo, OH; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren.; sister, Grace Clifford of Winamac, IN; brother, Ivan (Betty) Kent of Utica, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday October 18, 2013 at the JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 49 West Church Street, Centerburg with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Frank O'Bryant officiating. Interment Moundview Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, OH. -
