William J. "Bill" Allen, 75, of Kingman, Kan., died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in a Wichita, Kan., hospital. He was born April 12, 1925, in Pratt, Kan. He was a retired employee of BHP and Monsanto Oil companies. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Kingman.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman under the direction of Livingston Funeral Home of Kingman.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; three daughters, Karen Core of Berryville, Becky Geiger of Springdale and Barbara Parker of Greenwood; four sons, Gary of Fort Smith, Edward of Larned, Kan., Mitchell of Wichita and Patrick of Florence, Ky.; three sisters, Marie Lewis of Modesto, Calif., Gertrude Besse of Safford, Ariz., and Mary Hoffman of Wichita; one brother, Charles of Kingman; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
