Mrs. Reuben Hope
Ellen Hope, wife of Reuben Hope,
of Spring Valley, died last Sunday,
at the home of her brother-in-law,
Mr. Samuel Blauvelt, at Viola, of
phthisis pulmonalis, she was in the
64th year of her age. The deceased
was the daughter of the late Nicholas
Wiley, and sister of John and Charles G.
Wiley and Mrs. John S. Conklin, of
Suffern. Another brother James W. Wiley,
resides in New York. The funeral took
place on Wednesday at the residence of
Mr. Blauvelt. The Rev. J. S. Gilbert
conducted the services and was assisted
by the Rev. H. B. Hosley. The pall
bearers were A. T. Van Houten, A. Smith,
S. H. Burr, C. E. Blauvelt, Richard
Blauvelt and L. Johnson. Interment in
the Brick Church Cemetery.
