Mary E. (Tate) Crowe, 68, of Mechanicsville went to join her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 11, 2006. Mrs. Crowe was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Company. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Douglas Crowe, Sr.; a daughter Norma Jean; a great-grandson Trevon Crowe; a sister, Lillian Stout; and a brother, Aubrey Tate. She is survived by two daughters, Weda Galloway and Debra Schneider; and a devoted son-in-law, John; two sons, Henry Crowe, Jr. and Bobby Crowe and his wife, Renita; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Hooper and Annie Brock; two brothers, Edward Tate and Charles Tate; several special friends and other family members. Her remains rest at the Neisen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends on Monday, from 2 to 8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Hanover Church of The Nazarene, 8391 Atlee Rd., Mechanicsville. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
