Pearlie Brett, 86, of Mountain Ash Drive (White Oak M.H.P.) Bluefield, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Holstein Valley Medical Center in Kingsport TN with her two sons by her side. Born November 22, 1925, at Vaughan, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Fletcher Lynch and Lula Jane Shearin Lynch. Early in her adult life, Pearlie was employed by a furniture factory in Richmond, Virginia. Upon moving to this area, she for many years, served as a nanny for many children in the region. Pearlie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she loved her family more than anything. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Curtis Brett along with a granddaughter, Natasha Ashford Brett and several brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by her two sons; Richard Brett of the home and Ronnie Brett & wife Sandra of Princeton. Grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Crystal Combs and husband Will, Tiffany Smeltzer & husband Aaron, Derek Buzzo, Madison Brett, Patrick Brett, Kaycee Brett, Ashley Lowe, special grandchild, Mary Muslin. Two great grandchildren, Kaige Buzzo, Harper Combs & Ainsley Joyce, Taylin & Travis Jr.One sister, Lena Pulley of Richmond VA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 5, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Ronnie Richards officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield-Tazewell Road. Friends may visit with the family Monday from noon until the service hour. Pallbearers will be Will Combs, Derek Buzzo, Aaron Smeltzer, Patrick Brett, Larry Hamm & Caleb Bailey.
