Dorothy Jean Kirtley, 38, wife of Idaho State Patrolman Walter J. Kirtley, died Tuesday morning in her sleep. Death was apparently from natural causes. Mrs. Kirtley was born in Perry, Oklahoma, October 10, 1925. She attended schools in Caldwell and Nampa. She graduated from Nampa High in 1944. She had worked for Home Dairies for 14 years. She was married to Walter J. Kirtley, October 23, 1947 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The couple lived in Nampa and Caldwell, until they moved to Boise in 1953, when her husband joined the State Police. They moved to Bliss in June of 1955, and had resided here since. She belonged to the Bliss Christian Church. Surviving, besides her husband, are three sons, Ronald Dean, Rick Neal and Ross Lee Kirtley, all at home; five brothers Robert Chrz of Payette, Jim Chrz of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Roy, Dale, and Billy all of Caldwell; and her father William A. Chrz of Caldwell. She is predeceased by her mother Opal Chrz; two infant brothers and a sister-in-law. Services will be in the Gooding Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Charles Kilborn officiating. Interment follows at Hagerman.
