MOORE, JAMES DENTON (J. D.), 93, of Birmingham, was born on June 2, 1916 in Attala County, MS and went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 22, 2009. He began working in flooring business in 1935 and created Moore Flooring Company in Birmingham, AL in 1963. which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1990. J. D. was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Nola Ray Moore; daughter, Jean Gilmore (Tom); grandchildren, Jeana West (Paul), T. J. Gilmore and James Gilmore (Jaca); great-grandchildren, Emily West, Natalee West and Aiden Gilmore. Special thanks to Denise Levins, Caregiver. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23rd from 5 - 7 p.m.l at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Larry Horn and Max Blalock officiating.
