New Paltz: Dorrence C. Manley, 55, of 119 N. Ohioville Road, New Paltz, died at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, August 2nd following a sudden illness. He was the motor equipment foreman at SUNY at New Paltz and had lived in New Paltz for the past 27 years. Prior to that he had resided in Hartwick. Mr. Manley was a member of the VFW of New Paltz and the New Paltz Rod and Gun Club. Born JAnuary 2, 1920, the son of the late Charles and Mary Breesee Manley, he was married to Catherine Manley who died July 29th, 1969. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Smith of Walden; two brothers, the Rev. George Manley of Indiana, Earnest Manley of Oneonta; a sister, Mrs Dorothy Weeks of Hartwick; and a grandson.
