Mrs. Pearl McKinney (sic) passed away Monday morning at Memorial Hospital in Hallock, following a brief illness. She had been in Kennedy only three weeks to care for her daughter Mrs. Phillip Nyberg, then sick with the "flu." Mrs. McKinney was sixty-two years of age last October.

Born in Iowa, Mrs. McKinney later made her home in South Dakota and came here in 1937. During her brief stay in this section, she made many friends who will sadly miss her, and who sympathize with her family in their hour of grief.

Burial will be at Bonesteel, South Dakota. There will be no service here in Kennedy.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Phillip Nyberg of Kennedy. Three sons in the service, Albert in Alaska; Wilson in North Carolina; Francis in Shreveport, Louisiana. She had several brothers and sisters in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
