|Birth: ||Oct. 16, 1897|

Elise was the daughter of Walter Leoline Wescott and Elise Josephine deFrondat Dallas. She had two sisters, Marie Wescott Mayer and Caroline Wescott Earls and one brother, Walter Wescott Jr.
Elise married Thomas Frank Buchan in Orlando Fl May 1914. The ceremony was performed by Father Michael Fox of St James Catholic Church in Orlando Fl. The ceremony was at the bride's home on Rock Lake in Orlando FL
They moved to Eastman Georgia after the marriage, where Thomas was from, and there they had their first four children. Thomas and Elise moved back to Florida and had five more children. Of their nine children, seven grew to adulthood.
They had been married for 43 years when Thomas passed.
Elise devoted herself to raising her children and helping with her grandchildren. At the time of her death, she had 20 grandchildren.
One son that is not listed below in the family link for children is Thomas Frank Buchan II.
Elise was a strong, sturdy woman, rarely ill in her adult life. Elise died from ischemic heart disease exasperated by diabetes mellitus eight days shy from her 86th birthday.
Elise lived through the recession, World War I and World War II and the Korean conflict and had lost two young children. She had a hard life, but this woman was a survivor. She had a kind heart and I wish I could have known her longer. And isn't being remembered fondly something we would all like?
