Mr. Irvin D. Bueneman, 78, of Troy, MO, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis. Irvin was born on November 27, 1933 in Moscow Mills, the son of Ora and Helen (Westerman) Bueneman. While growing up, he attended both Moscow Mills, and the Troy schools. Even as a little boy, Irvin had a passion for farming and always wanted to help his father with the chores. In 1952 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was proud to serve his country until 1957. Irvin worked for many years as a crop and livestock farmer, and this is where he felt at home, on the farm. He was a past member of the Lincoln County Pork Producers, the Lincoln County Beef Producers, the Missouri Farm Bureau, and the American Legion. Irvin was also a member of the Troy V.F.W. Post # 8828 and was a past commander. He was a lifetime member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills, and served as past president of the board and served on the church council. When he wasn't farming, he drove a school bus for the Troy R-III school district for many years. No grass ever grew under his feet and he was always on the go. Irvin was a hard worker and a loyal friend to many. He will be missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barb Heimann of Troy; one son, Ted and his wife Tina Bueneman of Troy; two daughters: Beth Ann Eveland of Texas, and Judy and husband Greg Laughlin of Hawk Point; four step-children: Ed and Martha Heimann of New Mexico, Janet and her husband Ted Sitek of Dardenne Prairie, Susan and her husband John Potocki of Troy, John and wife Chris Heimann of Troy ; four grandchildren: Jessica and her husband Nick Schmidt, Tyler Eveland, Jacie Eveland, Ben Bueneman, and step-grandchildren: Josh Stobart and wife Heidi, Courtney Hager, Andy, Mathew, Danielle, Jessica, Rebecca, Cole, and Katheryn. He is further survived by his sister, Velma and her husband Bob Dunard of Troy, the mother of his children, Sophie Michie; many other step-great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Bobbie June Nolan.

A funeral service to be held on Wedesday, September 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills. Officiating: Rev. Eugene Rahmier. Interment to follow in Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers to be: V.F.W. members; honorary pallbearers to be: Jessica Schmidt, Nick Schmidt, Tyler Eveland, Jacie Eveland, and Ben Bueneman.

Visitation to be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a VFW Service at 7p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Troy.
